Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. Similar technology called local storage does the same job without being sent back with every request. This page covers both, because from your point of view they behave the same way.

What this website uses

This website uses only what it needs to work. We do not run analytics, advertising or profiling, there are no advertising or social tracking pixels on these pages, and we do not set any third party marketing cookies.

• Site platform storage (necessary). Our website platform stores a session value in your browser's local storage so that a signed-in administrator stays signed in and the app can tell requests apart. Visitors who are not signed in are not tracked with it.
• The Ask AJ chat (necessary). Opening the chat creates a conversation on our platform and keeps the messages in it so the chat continues as you move around the site.
• No analytics or marketing storage. Nothing on this site measures your browsing or builds a profile of you for advertising, so there is nothing non-essential for us to ask permission for.

What we do not use

• Google Analytics, or any other analytics or session recording tool.
• Meta Pixel, TikTok, LinkedIn or any other advertising pixel.
• Embedded maps, YouTube videos, or social media feed widgets.
• Booking or payment systems on this website.

Other requests your browser makes

Font files for this site are loaded from Google Fonts, and images are served from our app's image storage. That means your browser contacts those servers when a page loads, and they receive your IP address and browser details as part of serving the file. Neither sets a cookie for this site. Our Privacy Policy explains this in the section on who we share information with.

Managing cookies and storage

You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings, and you can set your browser to warn you before a site stores anything. The site will still load with storage blocked, but the Ask AJ chat and the forms may not work properly. Clearing your browser storage also clears the small amount this site keeps.

Consent

Because everything this site stores is needed for it to work, we do not show a cookie banner asking for permission. If we ever add something that is not strictly necessary, for example analytics, we will ask first and update this page before it is switched on.
