Areas we serve across Cumbria
AJ-Security is a Cumbria-based security provider with its office in Maryport. We supply security guarding, door supervision, event and festival security and intruder response throughout the county, from the west coast towns to Carlisle and the Eden Valley.
Where we work in Cumbria
These are the areas where we do most of our work, and the ones with enough local detail to deserve their own page. Each one explains what businesses and venues typically need there, and how to get hold of us for that area.
Also covered from our Maryport office
Alongside the areas above, we regularly work in the following Cumbrian towns and their surrounding villages:
- Cockermouth
- Egremont
- Cleator Moor
If your premises or event is somewhere not listed, ask us. We would rather tell you honestly whether we can cover it properly than take on work we cannot staff well.
Why local matters for security work
Security is an on-the-ground service. A provider based in the county can visit your site quickly, supervisor checks happen as part of the working day rather than as a special trip, and cover for sickness or time off is easier to arrange. It also means our officers know the towns and roads they are working in, which helps on everything from directing traffic at an event to finding the right access point on a rural site.
Which services are available in your area?
Every service is available county-wide. If you are looking for a specific type of cover, start with the service page and then check the area information for your town.
Our services
Areas we serve: common questions
Do you cover my town?
We are based in Maryport and provide security services across Cumbria. If you are not sure whether your area is covered, call 01900 368777 and we will tell you honestly rather than waste your time.
Do you work outside Cumbria?
Our work is concentrated in Cumbria, where our officers and supervisors are based. If your site is just over the county boundary, get in touch and we will confirm whether we can cover it properly.
Why does it matter that you are a local provider?
Because our officers are already in the county, site visits and short-notice cover are easier to arrange, and the people looking after your premises know the area they are working in.
Not sure if we cover you?
Call the office and speak to the team, or send us your details and we will come back to you with an honest answer and a tailored proposal.
