Security Jobs in Cumbria

We recruit SIA-licensed security officers, door supervisors, event staff and supervisors across Cumbria. If you already hold a licence, apply now. If you do not, the way in is training through AJ Training Academy.

Roles we recruit for

Our work is varied, so we are always interested in hearing from good people, whether you are experienced in the industry or just starting out.

Security Officers

Manned guarding, key holding and alarm response on sites across Cumbria, covering days, nights and weekends.

Door Supervisors

Pubs, bars, clubs and licensed venues, working in a team led by our own supervisors rather than a call centre.

Event and Festival Staff

Stewards, access control, searches and crowd management at events and festivals throughout the county.

Supervisors

Experienced officers who can run a shift, brief a team, look after a site and write up an incident properly.

What it is like working with us

  • Local work across Cumbria, so your shifts are within reach rather than a long drive out of the county.
  • All officers employed on PAYE, with tax and National Insurance handled for you.
  • Uniform and equipment provided once you start.
  • In-house supervisors who check in on site and are contactable during your shift.
  • Refresher and additional training available through our in-house team.
  • Regular hours on site contracts, plus extra event and festival work if you want it.

Careers: common questions

Do I need an SIA licence before I apply?

For licensed roles such as security guarding and door supervision you must hold a front line SIA licence before you can work. If you do not have one yet, start with training through AJ Training Academy, then apply once you are licensed.

Can I apply without security experience?

Yes. Plenty of our officers came to us from other industries, including retail, hospitality and the armed forces. What matters most is that you are reliable, calm and professional on site.

What areas do you cover?

We are based in Maryport and work across Cumbria, including Workington, Whitehaven, Carlisle, Silloth, Aspatria, Wigton, Keswick and Penrith.

What shifts will I be working?

Site contracts usually run set shift patterns with some nights and weekends. Event and festival work is more varied, and most of it falls on evenings and weekends through the season.
